Lakehouse is free to search and needs no account. We still collect information when you use it, and this page says exactly what, in plain terms.

What we collect
The brief you paste
To match it against the bench, and to understand what clients are asking for that we cannot yet staff.
Stored in full. Never shown to specialists or to other clients.
Your IP address
To limit automated abuse of the paid AI matching, and to tell repeat visitors from one-off traffic.
Deleted after 180 days.
Browser and device details
Your user agent, approximate country from your IP, and the page that referred you.
Used for aggregate reporting on how the site is found and used.
How you use the page
Time on page, how far you scroll, and which anonymized profiles you open.
Tied to a first-party cookie (lh_sid) that expires after 180 days.
Your email, only if you give it
When you request an assessment or book a hiring review, so we can reply.
Never sold, never added to a marketing list you did not ask for.
About the brief you paste
We keep the text of what you search with. It is how we learn which specialists the market wants and where our bench falls short. It is readable by Sloane Staffing staff only, it is never shared with the specialists you are shown, and it is never shared with other clients.
If a brief is confidential enough that you would rather we did not hold the text, paste a redacted version — matching works just as well on the requirements as on the whole document.
How long we keep it
Briefs, IP addresses, browser details and usage events are deleted after 180 days. After that we keep only anonymous aggregates — which skills were asked for, how many results came back — which cannot be traced to you or your company.
Cookies
One first-party cookie, lh_sid, holds a random id so repeat visits can be recognised as the same browser. It contains nothing about you and is not used for advertising. There are no third-party tracking cookies on this site.
If you are a specialist on Lakehouse
This part is for people who join through one of our application forms. It answers the three questions specialists ask most: what we keep, who sees it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
What you put in the form — your name, email, phone and LinkedIn if given, skills, certifications, experience, the story and results you share, metro area, how you want to work and your rate — and the résumé you upload. We use it to check the application, write your anonymous profile, and match you with clients.
Who sees it
Clients searching Lakehouse
Only your anonymous profile: role, skills, named certifications, metro area, how you want to work, years of experience, industries, and the projects and results you shared, written so they name no employer, client or person. Never your name, contact details, employers, résumé or rate.
The Sloane Staffing team
Everything you submitted, to review your application and represent you to clients.
Services that run Lakehouse for us
HubSpot (our forms and CRM), Supabase (our database and résumé storage), Anthropic (the AI that checks applications and drafts anonymous profiles), Netlify (hosting) and Slack (internal alerts to our team). They process your data only to provide their service to us.
We never sell your data and never give it to a client. If a client wants to talk to you, we contact you first and Sloane Staffing runs the conversation from there.
How long we keep it
- While you are listed: until you remove your profile. There is no expiry; it stays up as long as you want it to.
- If you are not listed (we did not publish your application): your application and résumé are deleted 12 months after you applied.
- If you remove your profile: it leaves Lakehouse immediately, and the rest of what you gave us — application, résumé and our CRM record — is erased within 30 days.
Your contact record in our CRM (HubSpot) is kept so we can tell you about relevant roles and, if you opted in, send you Lakehouse and Sloane Staffing updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete the record at any time.
How to see, change or delete it
The email we send when your profile goes live has a private link to see your profile exactly as clients do, ask us to change it, or remove it. Lost the email? Get a new link. To have everything deleted — including an application that was never published — email privacy@sloane-staffing.com.
Your choices
Email privacy@sloane-staffing.com to ask what we hold about you, to have it deleted, or to object to it being collected. We will action it within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU you can also complain to your data protection authority.
