Lakehouse is free to search and needs no account. We still collect information when you use it, and this page says exactly what, in plain terms.
What we collect
The brief you paste
To match it against the bench, and to understand what clients are asking for that we cannot yet staff.
Stored in full. Never shown to specialists or to other clients.
Your IP address
To limit automated abuse of the paid AI matching, and to tell repeat visitors from one-off traffic.
Deleted after 180 days.
Browser and device details
Your user agent, approximate country from your IP, and the page that referred you.
Used for aggregate reporting on how the site is found and used.
How you use the page
Time on page, how far you scroll, and which anonymized profiles you open.
Tied to a first-party cookie (lh_sid) that expires after 180 days.
Your email, only if you give it
When you request an assessment or book a hiring review, so we can reply.
Never sold, never added to a marketing list you did not ask for.
About the brief you paste
We keep the text of what you search with. It is how we learn which specialists the market wants and where our bench falls short. It is readable by Sloane Staffing staff only, it is never shared with the specialists you are shown, and it is never shared with other clients.
If a brief is confidential enough that you would rather we did not hold the text, paste a redacted version — matching works just as well on the requirements as on the whole document.
How long we keep it
Briefs, IP addresses, browser details and usage events are deleted after 180 days. After that we keep only anonymous aggregates — which skills were asked for, how many results came back — which cannot be traced to you or your company.
Cookies
One first-party cookie, lh_sid, holds a random id so repeat visits can be recognised as the same browser. It contains nothing about you and is not used for advertising. There are no third-party tracking cookies on this site.
Your choices
Email privacy@sloane-staffing.com to ask what we hold about you, to have it deleted, or to object to it being collected. We will action it within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU you can also complain to your data protection authority.
